This is our fifth shredder, but this one, somewhat more expensive than our previous units, we really like. It is relatively quiet, given what it is doing, and it is easy to empty. The large integrated waste basket slides out easily. We've tried the plastic bags, which work just fine, but tend not to use them because we recycle our paper and cannot dump it in plastic bags. We have found that we can fill the plastic bag and use that to transfer the contents into a paper bag for recycling..It's kind of an extra step that doesn't save a lot of effort or time.
